Selinus University is an international institution having its legal head office in Dominica. Its distance learning programs are distributed by its global licensee in London: Uniselinus Europe ltd.
As a corporation operating under international law, Selinus provides its programs exclusively through distance learning in over 70 countries around the world. The programs are reserved for adult students having a minimum age of 30 years. In order to access the PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) by Research program, it is necessary to have a Master's degree or equivalent. For Bachelor and Master levels, with 5 years of professional experience, it is possible to follow APEL (Accreditation Prior Experiential Learning) courses, a methodology of student evaluation that transforms previous studies and professional experience into academic credits.
Selinus University has chosen to remain an international free and private institution to maintain the flexibility that is necessary for adult students and to use the APEL system. Selinus University is not a government institution and does not issue state diplomas. Its accreditations come from private accreditation bodies, whose standards are determined by their own internal legal systems. The recognition of qualifications awarded by Selinus University is discretionary and up to institution, public and private companies, multinationals, NGOs and employers in general.
A Selinus University degree should be meant as an international professional use facilitator or career advancement booster to medium/high level positions in national and multinational companies and organizations. A Selinus international degree should never be considered a substitute for a traditional university one, but rather as a useful alternative.
Selinus University is accredited by AAHEA, WCRDE, QAHE. It is also a member of many international educational institutions. The PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) by Research program is accredited worldwide by the WCI (World Certification Institute) in Washington DC. Selinus University is accredited by California University (CUFCE) for the award of the US Dual Degree equivalent.
